The mod. FD 1BB N antenna is the base element for the realization of a whole family of highly professional omnidirective antenna's systems.

It is an antenna particularly suitable for broadcasting stations working in flat land or hilly zones, and it is also suitable for urban broadcasting stations, wherever is necessary to irradiate an R.F signal towards all directions with equal intensity.

The radiation pattern in the verical plane shows a ± 25° opening angle, which gives rise to a remarkable power concentration in the horizontal plane, reducing the power that, otherwise, scatters in the vertical direction (directly towards the top and the downwards). This confers 2.15 dB gain to the antenna, regarding the isotropic one, with an excellent angular uniformity of the field.

Special attention has been paid, during design and testing, to the determination of the best dimension and spacing, for the sake of optimizing both gain and standing wave ratio (V.S. W.R.) still keeping the covering of the whole FM broadcast band.

This hard agreement has been obtained realizing an antenna with, at the same time, relatively high gain and excellent frequency features.

The quality of the materials used (anticorodal on mod. FD 1BB N,FD 1BB LC, FD 1BB 7/16, FD 1BB 7/8 or stainless steel on mod. FM PX1 N, FM PX1 LC, FM PX1 7/16, FM PX1 7/8), together with the accurate assembly, guarantee an excellent mechanical strenght and reliability, also in windy or subject to ice-making zones.

In spite of all it has a very light weight, making its installation easy even in impervious zones or, anyway, in hardly accessible places.
